Injury screening is the process of performing a thorough biomechanical assessment to assess and screen for potential injuries, weakness, lack of mobility or poor movement patterns. Here at The Rehab Movement we tend to assess based on three main areas; Range of Motion, Strength and Function. In utilising these three areas we are able to find the main contributing factor to injury or potential injuries. Injury screening has become a huge part of professional sport and it's only a matter of time before it becomes the norm for anyone attempting to stay proactive against injury. The function component of the screen could involve anything from a running assessment to a biomechnical review of jumping technique to gardening technique. Everyone deserves a review of areas that they could potentially improve upon to make their daily life or sport that much easier.
