Our rehab exercise class includes the use of the reformer machine. It is used as a form of exercise which involves coordination of smooth, controlled movements to help facilitate optimal positioning and posture through the movement. The added benefit of using the reformer is that although it can improve movement patterns and coordination, it can also be used to improve muscular strength and endurance. The use of the reformer in the rehab classes designates that the exercise is more used for rehab purposes and individualised programs, rather than all participants doing the same program. Our rehab exercise class is based on the individual's goals or impairments and takes place either one on one or in small group classes.
The addition of gym equipment allows this to be utilised too, as we believe our rehab classes should be teamed with strength exercises for full body rehab.
